Radical Movie Night: Trick or Treaty?

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and join us for a free outdoor screening of “Trick or Treaty?” by Alanis Obomsawin at Greenwood Park! Movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

“Trick or Treaty?” is a 2014 Canadian documentary feature film by Alanis Obomsawin about Treaty 9, a 1905 agreement that reflects the often contradictory interpretations of treaties between First Nations and the Crown. The movie succinctly and powerfully portrays one community’s attempts to enforce their treaty rights and protect their lands, while also revealing the complexities of contemporary treaty agreements.
